Overview
We’re looking for a smart, detail-oriented and creative quality assurance engineer who will be motivated by being part of a high-caliber team building meaningful products for our customers. You will be responsible for testing our cloud-based platform. Highly motivated candidates with strong fundamentals but without prior testing experience are encouraged to apply.
Job responsibilities:
- Write and execute test protocols
- Write and execute automated acceptance tests using tools such as RSpec and Capybara
- Configure and maintain testing environments
- Create and maintain sample datasets and tools to support testing
- Communicate with technology and professional services departments regarding identified issues
- Data analysis
The ideal candidate has:
- The ability to think carefully and precisely
- The desire and ability to persistently chase down software problems
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The desire to provide great service to internal and external customers
- The ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing and competing priorities
- A BA/BS degree at minimum
- Knowledge of and experience in testing web-based applications
- Knowledge of and experience in software development (Ruby and/or Rails experience a plus)
- Knowledge of and experience in relational databases and SQL (MySQL experience a plus)
- Expertise with Excel
- Experience with Linux
- Knowledge of clinical trials or experience in pharma quality (GXP, 21CFR11, etc.) a plus
