Overview

We’re looking for a smart, detail-oriented and creative quality assurance engineer who will be motivated by being part of a high-caliber team building meaningful products for our customers. You will be responsible for testing our cloud-based platform. Highly motivated candidates with strong fundamentals but without prior testing experience are encouraged to apply.

Job responsibilities:

  • Write and execute test protocols
  • Write and execute automated acceptance tests using tools such as RSpec and Capybara
  • Configure and maintain testing environments
  • Create and maintain sample datasets and tools to support testing
  • Communicate with technology and professional services departments regarding identified issues
  • Data analysis

The ideal candidate has:

  • The ability to think carefully and precisely
  • The desire and ability to persistently chase down software problems
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The desire to provide great service to internal and external customers
  • The ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing and competing priorities
  • A BA/BS degree at minimum
  • Knowledge of and experience in testing web-based applications
  • Knowledge of and experience in software development (Ruby and/or Rails experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of and experience in relational databases and SQL (MySQL experience a plus)
  • Expertise with Excel
  • Experience with Linux
  • Knowledge of clinical trials or experience in pharma quality (GXP, 21CFR11, etc.) a plus
