My Client is actively seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to work in their headquarters in Boston, MA, just a half a block from the Downtown Crossing T stop.

This role will report to our Chief Architect and will be responsible for performing verification. You will create software test scripts and test protocols from requirement specifications, as well as perform ad-hoc testing and evaluation of our software. You will also validate user guides to ensure conformance to system requirement specifications and applicable regulations. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a small creative team that is passionate about bringing innovation.

The successful candidate is self-motivated and enjoys the challenge of addressing tough technical problems.

·         Create test scripts and test protocols from software functional requirements and software requirement specifications

·         Execute test scripts as required

·         Perform ad-hoc testing of software

·         Participate in the software change control process and revision of test protocol changes to ensure adequacy and correctness

·         Validate changes to ensure they are correctly incorporated in the software products

·         Enter software bugs, issues, and complaints into a tracking system

·         Perform software quality trend analysis to initiate corrective and preventive actions for product improvement

 

Qualifications:

·         3+ years in a Quality Assurance organization, preferably supporting systems in development

·         Experience in automating client/server environments as well as with load/stress testing web interfaces and mysql performance

·         Well versed with software lifecycle processes and methodologies, with emphasis on quality assurance and testing best practices

·         Demonstrated technical writing skills, including writing ISO9000 testing documentation

·         Ability to read and understand the Python language (our primary development language) as well as pyunit and Selenium is a plus

·         SQL scripting and Bash scripting experience a plus

·         Knowledge of the election industry is a plus

·         Strong communication, presentation and written skills

·         Ability to multi-task and deal with changing deadlines

·         Experience in an early-stage fast-paced environment

·         Demonstrated knowledge of technology processes and ability to navigate complicated regulatory requirements
