Overview

This individual will have a key role in infrastructure support as well as involvement with product development. S/he will recommend and deploy solutions across all aspects of our systems infrastructure, ensuring high availability, high performance and stability in a rapidly developing environment.

Applicants must be comfortable working with Linux. In addition, a strong familiarity in at least one of the following areas of technology is required:.

Automation/Deployment:
  • CI servers such as Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Configuration Management systems such as Puppet or Chef
  • Understanding of Linux package management and maintaining deployment artifacts
  Virtualization:
  • VM Hypervisors such as VMWare/Qemu/Virtualbox
  • Familiarity with Amazon (AWS) infrastructure and services
  • Container software such as Docker
  • Configuration software such as Fig, Vagrant, and Packer
  • Enterprise Storage such as EMC/NetApp
 Networking:
  • Hardware VPN endpoints such as Cisco ASA
  • Hardware load balancers such as F5 and software alternatives such as NGINX
  • Experience maintaining high availability services across multiple locations
  • Cisco certifications a plus
 Applicants must own a healthy enthusiasm for learning, collaborating, and designing new systems. Ideal applicants will be familiar with Python and in using git or some other type of version control.
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to tackle the high scalability challenges that come with rapid growth;
  • Actively monitor the stability and performance of the server infrastructure (dedicated & cloud);
  • Help ensure that the infrastructure and applications are stable and resilient;
  • Automate where appropriate/possible.
