Freelance Sales Agent / Distributor

Location: Boston Area

As our new commission-based Sales Agent or Distributor, you should be enthusiastic about genome and systems biology and passionate about interacting with highly skilled scientists. Your extensive network mainly in the biotech and pharma industry will allow you to rapidly win new customers and create promising new leads in collaboration with your colleagues in the Swiss headquarters. Thanks to regular contact and high quality support, you will ensure a long-term partnership between the US customers and NEBION.

Main responsibilities

• Generate, negotiate and close sales leads for bioinformatics solutions to customers in pharmaceutical, biotech, agro genomics, and academic sectors
• Follow-up on pre-qualified leads identified from Internet research, trade shows etc.
• Organize web-based and on-site product demonstrations in collaboration with NEBION’s sales colleagues

Minimum Requirements

• Scientific background in molecular biology or another life science related area
• Sales experience including either (a) sale of bioinformatics software and services, or (b) sale to scientists involved in DNA-sequencing, Gene Expression, etc.
• Extensive network with key people in target companies
