Namely is an agile startup dedicated to building an end-to-end Human Capital Management platform for businesses of all sizes – some of the world’s most innovative and exciting companies from many industries use Namely for HR Management. Our users are varied (HR administrators, managers, and average employees), and our clients each have their own culture and policies.

We are looking for a skilled developer to contribute ideas, innovation, solutions and code to our product. The Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical support for the Namely software program. This person will also work on other programming and documentation projects as required. For entry-level applicants we are willing to train the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS

Highly desired skills:

• Experience building web apps with an OO language and framework. Ideally has experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience building front end javascript-based apps that utilize Ajax and DOM manipulation.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with version control and group repositories, comfortable working intimately on a codebase with other developers.
• Experience using test-driven development methods.
• Experience with creating or maintaining a web server in a Unix based environment.
