• Integrate Index systems and applications with partner point of sale (POS) hardware and software, with a focus on traditional POS vendors.

• Ensure our product doesn’t fail our users or our partners by testing POS performance and optimizing code for integration.

• Conduct upgrades, deployments and monitoring of all systems.

• Anticipate scale and technical needs for a complex product.

• Write performance tests and own quality.

• Write comments and documentation.

In the past, you…

• Have integrated software with traditional point of sale (POS) hardware and deployed successfully to production for large scale retailers.

• Ensured high performance through deployment and long term partnerships. Understand business requirements and enjoy developing products to meet the needs of individual clients

• Have collaborated with a team of designers, developers, and BI staff to build integrations to 3rd party systems.

• Demonstrated interest and ability to communicate across technology and business boundaries.

• Have experience with Hadoop or other Big Data platforms

• Finished a project you’d be proud to show us.

• Picked up a B.S., B.A. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.

• Were able to prioritize and deliver your work in a self-directed manner.

• Prototyped new features and improved existing features.

• Have written testable code.
