Overview

Description:

• Build and maintain consumer-facing applications powering various digital radio and TV products
• Utilize a variety of languages and technologies, such as JavaScript with related frameworks, ActionScript, and Sass
• Utilize and integrate with our api.radio.com RESTful services
• Integrate third-party services into our current and future products
• Be comfortable deploying code independent of Dev Ops
• Contribute to the company culture and social aspects of CBS Local
• Be an integral member of our engineering team which means performing code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and be responsible for crafting and promoting your ideas to various disciplines.

Qualifications:

• Very strong JavaScript experience. A good understanding of the power and limitations of JS and integrations with other technologies.
• Experience with Angular, Backbone or JS Frameworks a plus
• Experience with Python, Django, MVC a plus
• Working knowledge of CSS preprocessor, such as Sass, a plus
• Working Knowledge or experience with deploying code using Git and/or Jenkins
• Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, algorithms, and data structures
• Highly motivated and proactive
• Driven to build the best interactive audio/video experience on the web
• Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to understand highly technical and abstract concepts
• Proven ability to solve complex real-world problems
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired
