We are an early-stage financial technology startup located in NYC. Our patent pending technology is making it easier for people to manage their money and make smart financial decisions. We are a team of eight with backgrounds in large scale systems, front-end development, UX design, quantitative portfolio management and business strategy. We Are Looking: for a Database Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills; and experience in creating scalable and flexible database components. S/he would be working on database technologies and frameworks
including MS SQL Server 2012, SSDT/ SSIS, MongoDB, and .NET 4.5. The role requires designing and implementing critical data and integration layer components. Good communication skills are a must as you would be working in a close-knit team alongside our database architect and CTO.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of database design, implementation and administration; preferably using MS SQL Server 2005 (or higher) in production environment.
• Technical expertise in writing optimal T-SQL queries, and implementing ETL
processes.
• Experience in using the following technologies will be considered a plus – SSIS/ SSDT, .NET (C#), MongoDB.

We will consider candidates seeking full-time, or internships (OPT) leading to a full-time role.
If you are not a US citizen, you should have an H1B (with 3-6 months remaining) or be eligible for a CPT / OPT.
