We are looking for a Data Scientist / Data Analyst who is passionate about data collection, data standardization, variable transformation, model construction and insight development in all our product lines . We strive to be world leaders in the space of publisher insight and you can play a key role in that for us. We are a dynamic, innovative team building a global real-time platform utilizing latest technologies like Kafka, Storm, Zookeeper, Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, and require someone to help us continue to make sense of the Terabytes of data we have access to.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with a collaborative, agile team.

Identify new data sources that will improve online targeting efforts.

Understanding complex business challenges, designing scientific solutions, manipulating large data sets, using cutting edge machine learning or statistical modeling techniques and synthesizing insights
Building scalable solutions that create great business impact-Strong and effective communication (both written and verbal) with colleagues and business leaders
Continuously advancing your skills and those of others

Annual northern expeditions where you will save baby seals.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have Skills:

Proficiency in R required; familiarity with one of the following desired: Python, MATLAB, including Python, Ruby, or Java.

Exposure to implementing supervised machine learning algorithms at scale.
Experience with statistical analysis software, including SAS or R.
Experience working with big data >1 Terabyte.
Experience designing innovative data mining, analytics algorithms to improve signaling, reporting, and panel methodologies.
Capable of not just presenting data results, but also interpretation of the results, including the impact of the results on panel and product methodologies.

Nice to have:

Experience with classification methods (e.g., Neural Net, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, KNN, SVM, Random Forest).
Experience with regression methods (e.g., Linear, Nonlinear, Boosted Regression Trees).
Experience with clustering methods (e.g., K-means, Fuzzy C-means, Hierarchical Clustering, Mixture Modelling).

Experience with Time-series Modelling/Forecasting (e.g., AR, ARMA, GARCH, Exponential Smoothing).
Experience with Statistical Analysis (e.g., Hypothesis Testing, Experiment Design, Hierarchical Modeling, Bayesian Inference).

Familiarity with common computing environment (e.g. Linux, Shell Scripting)
Contributions to open-source or personal projects.
Experience with highly available Big Data systems such as Map-Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Cassandra, HBase, Spark.
