We are looking for a Lead Designer for one of our Product Delivery Teams who will own the visual design of Viafoura’s web products and communication. You will be a pivotal member of our product design team, and lend your expertise to our marketing initiatives.
We are not interested in people who are not looking to grow. Let’s re-iterate that, you MUST be looking to grow as both an individual and an engineer to work at Viafoura. We push boundaries to deliver a distributed, real-time API that handles thousands of requests per second.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, software and quality engineers, and business stakeholders to design effective, elegant, usable and reliable solutions.
Provide creative solutions to difficult user experience problems using modern best practices in visual design.
Produce design concepts, high fidelity mockups and production HTML/CSS.
Reconcile and address a broad spectrum of requirements into your designs – from business needs to user experience goals and engineering constraints.
Annual northern expeditions where you will save baby seals
Contribute to a state of the art single page application using cutting-edge build tools.

Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other tools of the trade.
Experience handling cross-browser interface design and development.

Written and verbal communication are an important part of this role. You must be able to demonstrate your understanding of product requirements through well articulated proposals for your design solutions.
