Full Stack Developer (Entry Level)

The Opportunity

Tenizen is the newest company to launch from the Cogo Labs venture accelerator. We’re leveraging years of R&D in online marketing analytics, and are focused on transforming the apartment rentals market through technology and a vastly improved user experience.

We are looking for an entry-level full stack Web application developer to help us build a customer-facing site targeted at the apartment rentals industry. This is a unique opportunity to join an early stage startup that has stable funding and a proven path to profitability. In addition, you’ll be taking advantage of the resources of a larger organization while still being part of a small, high performing team.

You’ll be reporting to the Vice President of Engineering. The goal is to keep the organization nimble, focused on results, and constantly testing and analyzing ideas to produce the best decisions. Successes will be built on failures, so you can’t be afraid to take a chance to learn something new.

• Previous work on a collaborative project (university project or open source)

• Web application development experience, either front-end and back-end •

• Familiarity with a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  > Even better would be

• Proficiency in any of the above

• Familiarity with a MVC framework such as Ruby on Rails, Django, or Spring

• Familiarity with Agile development tools and methodologies

• Mobile development experience

• Programming experience outside of university courses to demonstrate your technology interests

  (part-time work, side projects, etc.)
