The award-winning Schoology team and business are growing extremely quickly. As our user base grows, so does the client support team’s need for a go-to support engineer to keep our systems running smoothly, improve the processes currently in place, and help make our client support team an even stronger resource for our Schoology users. 

 As a Support Engineer, you will:

  • Attain a deep understanding of the web-based product and iOS/Android application and keep abreast of latest changes.
  • Work with clients to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that are difficult to reproduce.
  • Help the Support team identify bugs and issues that are difficult to reproduce.
  • Develop a good understanding of Schoology’s Live and Dev database, architecture, and API.
  • Work with internal teams to improve Support processes.
  • Maintain API integration with Support systems. 
  • Help answer Help Desk tickets from all end-users during peak season.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Experience in a client-facing role.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve defects in a system.
  • Experience and expertise developing in one or more of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, GO or node.js.
  • Strong understanding of basic web skills (HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Background in Computer Science preferred.
  • Interest or experience in education a plus.
