Ayasdi uses a pioneering approach to automatically discover insights from complex data. Founded in 2008 after a decade of research at Stanford, DARPA, and NSF, Ayasdi uses Topological Data Analysis (TDA) to unify best-of-breed machine learning approaches into a common framework without the need to write algorithms, queries or models. As a QA engineer at Ayasdi you will own and drive the functionality, performance and stress test roadmap for Ayasdi’s industry leading advanced analytics platform.

You will develop automated testing tools and processes. You will collaborate with frontend and backend engineers in an agile development environment. You will also work cross-functionally with related teams such as Product, Technical Operations, and Release Management. You are articulate, friendly, and you enjoy working with others to pursue a common goal.

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand developer code, determine test coverage, and write/update/debug unit tests

• Translate product requirements into test plans, and writing useful bug reports

• Functionality, performance and stress testing for web application and backend systems (latency/throughput)

• Setting up and maintaining test environment and tools

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 3 yrs of experience architecting and implementing QA processes

• Proficient with Java and Python programming languages

• Familiar with testing frameworks (Marathon, Selenium, Jasmine)

• Familiar with version control (Git, Perforce, SVN) and repository managers (Artifactory, Nexus)

• Strong analytical and communications skills

• Self starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

• BA/BS degree in CS or EE; MS/PhD a plus

• Previous start-up experience is a plus
