Overview

What you’ll do:

• Work with team to manage full accounting cycle: general ledger accounting, A/P, A/R, treasury management, month-end, and year-end audit in accordance with GAAP
• Directly manage certain sections of P&L and B/S, and have separation of duties as appropriate with other accounting team member
• Develop and implement appropriate accounting policies and controls, researching GAAP guidelines as appropriate
• Implement new solutions for the team and company (i.e. new ledger, Concur, etc.)
• Optimize accounting reporting and understanding of how to tell the underlying business story on performance; ensure timeliness of reporting to internal and for external constituencies
• Oversee account reconciliations and make recommendations to improve process
• Provide leadership to the accounting team and drive necessary improvements

Who you are:

• Proven leadership experience in managing accounting team and GAAP compliant process in a technology company or with an audit firm (for tech clients)
• Detail oriented and have a passion for helping a business report accurate results and implement controls
• Roll up your sleeves and willing to dig in!

Requirements:

• BS and/or Masters in Accounting
• 8-10 years experience in accounting within a tech firm or audit firm (tech clients)
• CPA a must
• Experience managing an audit process, full accounting cycle
• Experience with tax matters (i.e. federal, state, 1099) a plus
• Managed a ledger transition a plus
• Managed a payroll and budgeting process a plus
