Overview

ScriptRock’s sales team is growing, and we’re looking for Inside Sales Representatives to help lead the way.

An ISR at ScriptRock holds a position of unique responsibility, helping customers through critical stages of the funnel to sales success. In many cases, you’ll be the first contact a customer has with ScriptRock, so you’ll need to be charming, knowledgable, and build good relationships quickly.

You’ll be selling GuardRail, our flagship product. It’s a subscription-based service that scans and tracks the configurations of a client’s IT environment. Users can then do powerful things with that data — compare to other machines, put policies in place to standardize a config, or even export to automation platforms to be replicated. It’s powerful and unique, and we’re very proud of it. In fact, it’s pretty fun to sell, too — we hear our clients say “whoa” a lot. (Don’t worry if you don’t understand config monitoring just yet — it’s an emerging field, but we’ll make sure you’re an expert in no time.)

The ideal addition to our team will have a great track record of sales success, a technical or semi-technical background, a natural wit, and the ability to tailor their message to clients of any technical level, from layman to IT Demigod.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Expressing the high level of value clients will receive from a fully realized GuardRail deployment
  • Researching contacts and potential sales avenues
  • Reporting your findings and experiences back to leadership
  • Collecting client feedback for Marketing and Development teams to refine the product and message going forward
  • Providing live, guided demonstrations of the product using remote screen sharing software
  • Consistent performance

Skills and whatnot you absolutely must have:

  • A natural affability, especially over the phone
  • Strong sense for business and opportunity
  • Excellent articulation of ideas, both verbally and in written English
  • A fearless nature and willingness to take risks
  • Technical or semi-technical background / hands-on understanding of IT concepts

Things you might have that would be nice, but aren’t required:

  • Experience with Salesforce and/or HubSpot
  • 1+ years prior experience in sales
  • BA/BS
  • Public speaking, improv comedy, or stand-up comedy experience (Seriously, it helps!)
