Front-End Web Developer

 

Reelio Labs is a digital media analytics company focusing on online video content. We are looking for a web developer to join our team as we build and deploy web applications that change the way video content connects with people.

 

·       The products are technically challenging and require a range of skill-sets, ranging from application programming to web and user interface design.

·       Work directly with the management team, helping to create and implement the technology and interfaces that will realize our collective vision

 

We are looking for a team member who strives for excellence with their design and implementation but who also wants a chance to expand their contributions and play a crucial role at a fast-moving, high-growth company.

 

Skills / Experience

l  BS in computer science or related field, or significant equivalent experience

l  4+ years of experience in designing and deploying web applications

l  Experience with one or more of the common Python web frameworks, ideally Django.

l  Front-end AJAX development experience in jQuery and JavaScript.

l  Basic graphic design skills, i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Fireworks or similar

l  Familiar with version control systems (ideally github; svn/cvs ok.)

l  Relational database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle

l  Unix/Linux environment

l  Desire to work in a creative, collaborative, and fast-paced startup environment

 

Nice to have

l  Portfolio of past websites and design projects

l  UI/UX experience

l  Desire to learn new languages and development approaches

l  Data analytics exp, especially with Social Media API’s
