B2B purchasing … doesn’t sound that glamorous at first, right? Well, consider that there are over 4.7 Million Small and Medium-sized businesses [SMBs] purchasing over $2.2 Trillion in equipment and physical goods every year in the USA alone! Most of these businesses handle their purchasing in the same way they did during the 1970s – pen and paper invoicing, flipping through trade directories, calling down the yellow pages, or relying on familiar but expensive existing relationships. And most digital resources don’t provide the price and product information a small business wants to know in order to pull the trigger on a purchase. At Kinnek we’re bringing small business purchasing into the 21st century. Our singular aim is to become THE platform where SMBs manage all their purchasing and supplier relationships. It’s a massive opportunity to fundamentally change the way businesses interact by building a new online marketplace for an underserved audience. We’re looking for a world-class Product Marketer to join us in our efforts of increasing engagement and adoption of the Kinnek platform through strategic marketing initiatives for our Suppliers. This role is perfect for someone who views experiences through a customer centric lens and can switch quickly from strategic thinking to the tactical details. Success in this role will require a metrics based approach and ability to navigate ambiguous requirements, and ideally, you should be super-excited to work with an SMB population.

AS A PRODUCT MARKETER AT KINNEK, YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Defining value propositions, user benefits, and product positioning on the Supplier-side of the Kinnek marketplace
    • Creating sales enablement strategies, as well as training and collateral development to support continued growth of the Kinnek supplier network
    • Developing internal strategies for catering to specific supplier accounts based on their requirements and expectations
    • Increasing penetration into supplier organizations and identifying growth opportunities
    • Digging deeply into supplier data to identify ongoing opportunities for product improvement
    • Proposing new packaging and positioning of existing products/assets to drive attainment of acquisition and retention objectives

IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT KINNEK, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

    • A degree from a top-tier university
    • 2+ years of product marketing experience
    • Ideally, experience in a Client facing and Relationship/Account Management role
    • Ideally, experience at Internet or Marketplace company is a major plus
    • Concise and engaging communication skills via phone and video
    • Highly-motivated, self-driven and ability to be effective in an unstructured environment
    • Passionate about revolutionizing the way small and medium sized businesses do their purchasing
