PrepNow is an education technology company that delivers live, interactive tutoring online.  We are seeking a Senior Web Developer to help lead our growing software development team.   The ideal candidate has experience leading projects in building full-stack web applications in ASP.NET.

Current Key Initiatives Include:

• Interactive mobile web development
• Virtual classroom development using HTML5, WebSockets, SVG Animations and more
• New .NET CMS platform implementation

Essential Job Functions

• Works closely with Lead Developer to build team culture and drive company initiatives through technical innovation
• Designs, develops, implements, tests and maintains business applications for internal and external users/clients in a small, entrepreneurial environment
• Analyzes the needs and requirements of users/clients and participates in a collaborative with multiple teams to develop project scope and manage expectations

 

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field required
• 2 years of C#.NET, ASP.NET programming experience
• Knowledge of ASP.NET MVC framework
• Professional experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL.
• Proficiency in front-end scripting including: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX and JQuery
• An understanding of Object Oriented Design (OOD) and underlying concepts
• Experience in Source Control (via Git, Subversion or TFS), Continuous Integration (CI) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience in creating and/or consuming web services (SOAP, REST)
• Experience managing a team to accomplish development projects in an agile environment
