Overview

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances brand equity and awareness. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training, and managing all marketing functions to achieve the Company objectives of sales, growth, profitability, and visibility while ensuring marketing messages and positions are consistent with the corporate direction.

Responsibilities

• Serves as de facto Chief Marketing Officer of the Company, providing support in the key areas of marketing strategy and management 
• Lead and manage Direct Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Online Marketing, Event Marketing and Internal Creative Services 
• Develops the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve key objectives 
• Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed company expectations 
• Oversees and provides direction to market and competitor analysis 
• Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources 
• Provides input and support to the Company’s leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements 
• Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs 
• Analyze, evaluate, plan and execute on both existing and potential marketing activities and strategies. Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs 
• Managing marketing efforts within budget constraints 
• Manage, coach, mentor, and raise the team’s ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession talent 
• Work closely with Product Development, Sales and other Senior Executives to create demand and recognition for the Company and its products 
• Ongoing interactions with senior management and board to fine tune marketing efforts as well as communicate effectiveness of current initiatives 
• End-to-end ownership of issues with responsibility for driving closure 
• Ability to define, develop and produce thought leadership research and data-driven marketing initiatives 
• Manage internal marketing portal and on-going internal communication 
• Manage all content creation; collateral, blogs, webinars, company events, etc 
• Gauge impact of marketing/ROI/lead gen attribution/management

Requirements   

• A minimum of 8 to 10 years experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in progressive Marketing roles at the senior management level 
• Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising 
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals 
• A track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives 
• Proven ability to lead a proactive marketing organization and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives 
• The ability to mange multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes • Ability to work on both a tactical (i.e. hands on) as well as a strategic level 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
• Respectful and outstanding leadership skills that motivates staff to exceed expectations 
• The ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals 
• Proven ability to lead a proactive marketing organization and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives 
• University degree or college diploma in business, MBA preferred

Desired Experience

• Digital/Ad Tech or Digital Ad Network experience required 
• Marketing experience with syndicated research product background a plus. 
• Mobile / Ad Tech or Mobile Ad Network background also a plus.
