Overview
Summary:
We are looking for a mid-senior level visual designer to join our growing product team. You will work closely with a lean team to work on new products as well as iterating on older versions for clients from some of the top corporate brands in the world. You will work with the UX Director to flesh out all wireframes and interaction prototypes that seek to improve the user experience across our products. You will “own” the visual design aesthetic of our products and all associated best practices.
You are a designer with excellent chops, a great eye, and a can-do attitude and you are looking to make your mark and create exceptional user experiences. You like working in a collaborative environment and welcome constructive feedback. You are more interested in how people successfully interact with UI than in creating designs to brag about on Dribble. You know where the the industry has been and where it’s going and you’re not afraid to stand up for your designs when appropriate

Responsibilities:
- Translate wireframes into development-ready visual design assets including styleguides, design catalogs, retina-ready sprite sets and detailed schematics
- Interface with UX Director as well as stakeholders to brainstorm visual design solutions for complex interactions
- Create prototype animations in Keynote or equivalent app
- Contribute strategic design insight to ongoing brand refresh
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience creating visual design mock-ups
- Fluency with Illustrator, as well as experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of interaction design, usability principles, material design, mobile/responsive design, and data visualization as well as current trends in interaction/visual design
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and web/application development to facilitate cross-team interaction and development hand-off
- Knowledge of native Android and iOS functionality
- Ability to balance stakeholder requirements and development limitations with design dogma and user advocacy
- Ability to confidently work in an agile fashion from at-times limited requirements
- Ability to work within the design confines of existing products where applicable
- Desire to learn and teach in a collaborative, creative design environment
- A strong portfolio with examples of clean visual design solutions to interactive design problems
