We are looking for an experienced Rails developer who isn’t shy of solving difficult unique problems using the Rails 4 framework. Someone who understands the importance of Rails conventions but is also able to think of things from an architectural point of view.

 

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, to be part of an exciting company from the early stages, while having to use all your skills to disrupt an industry that is desperately in need of a technology makeover.

 

One to two years experience in real world web development using Ruby on Rails is essential for this position.

 

Requirements

 

• A proven track record of solid Rails programming.

• Experience working with:

  • Rails 3 or 4

  • HTML5

  • SASS/CSS

  • Javascript

  • Rspec

• RESTful web services

• Ability to work well in a fast paced startup environment

• Can take charge of a project from beginning to end

• Is diligent about writing high quality code, that is maintainable, testable, and scalable.

 

Bonus

 

• Degree in computer science or a related field

• Experience working with:

  • Haskell

  • Go

  • Java

• Systems administration
