Operations
What You’ll be Doing:

Source, recruit and manage a fleet of Personal Shoppers from all walks of life
-
Teach new Personal Shoppers the ways of the Jedi (or at least about the company, regular operating procedures, and how to provide amazing customer service)

Use data to analyze, set and manage Personal Shoppers’ weekly schedules, matching supply and demand
-
Constantly look for opportunities to provide feedback to Personal Shoppers so that they are WOWing our customers with amazing service on a daily basis

Stay on top of day-to-day operations, making adjustments as necessary to ensure that we can deliver on our 1-hour delivery promise to customers
What You Should Already Have:

Training experience - you should be an amazing communicator, and be able to put together and present all types of material to any audience

Managing experience - you should be comfortable hiring and managing a large group of people, constantly seeking to keep them engaged and happy

Operations experience - you should excel at managing projects in a fast-paced environment, and using data to constantly improve processes and policies
-
Startup experience - you should have previous entrepreneurial experience, whether in an actual startup or through side projects
-
Professional experience - 3-5 years of related work experience, and bachelors degree
Growth:
What You’ll be Doing:

Be the voice of Instacart throughout the local community
-
Network, connect and partner with local startups, organizations, events, meetups and more to spread the word in the city

Run data-driven marketing experiments to drive new users and orders on a weekly basis

Build a New York City empire by expanding Instacart’s operations to new neighborhoods and grocery stores throughout the city based on customer feedback and demand

Work closely with PR team to manage and execute major launches, ensuring Instacart creates the biggest buzz in local media
What You Should Already Have:

Sales/business development experience - you should be a master at building relationships, cold calling/emailing, structuring partnerships and closing deals

Marketing/PR experience - you should understand how to run effective email marketing campaigns, be comfortable with speaking to external parties and run buzz-worthy events

Startup experience - you should have previous entrepreneurial experience, whether in an actual startup or through side projects

Professional experience - 3-5 years of related work experience, and bachelors degree
