We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer who is passionate about code craftsmanship, continuous improvement and agile development. We need elegant solutions to the most complex challenges. Experience crafting applications using Java or other JVM languages is a must. We are a dynamic, innovative team building a global real-time platform utilizing latest technologies like Storm, Kafka, Zookeeper and the full NetflixOSS stack for our main application.

We push boundaries to deliver a distributed, real-time API that handles thousands of requests per second.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with a collaborative, agile team.
Vetting cutting edge libraries and weighing them against established ones.
Contribute scalable software artifacts that are easy to understand and simple to maintain.
Debug/resolve JVM/Linux/Networking/Amazon issues

Annual northern expeditions where you will save baby seals
Contribute to a state of the art single page application using cutting-edge build tools.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have Skills:

Experience with Java and JVM languages like Python, Ruby, and Scala
Developing for fast processing, real-time, highly-available systems
Advanced knowledge of MVC
Proven experience using RDBMS and NOSQL datastores (other than MongoDB)
Knowledge of RESTful APIs

Nice to have:

Experience with Storm, Kafka, Spark, Shark, Lucene, Solr, Zookeeper.
Experience implementing high-performance Service Oriented Architectures.
Development of applications utilizing one or more of the following web services technologies: JSON-RPC, JSON-WSP, Web Services Description Language (WSDL), REST, RPC, or XML.
Understanding of performance optimization, especially in latency-sensitive (millisecond scale) environments.
Contributions to open-source or personal projects.
