Overview

We believe that the quality of a person’s writing has a dramatic impact on all aspects of that person’s life — at school, at home, and on the job. We’re looking for a resourceful research assistant to help us prove it. Are you an analytical thinker with problem-solving skills? Do you have a passion for devising experiments, collecting and crunching the data, and telling the story behind the numbers? This role may be the perfect fit for you!

What you will do:

  • Lead the development and testing of hypotheses in a variety of industries to prove (beyond all doubt!) the importance of accurate writing

  • Collect data, perform analysis, develop a narrative, and help the team visualize the results

  • Work with Grammarly’s marketing team to tell compelling stories from a variety of internal and external data sets

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with obtaining and producing data through research, experiments, and/or surveys

  • Skilled in the use of statistical packages (e.g. SAS, Stata)

  • Strong results-driven personality, with a high level of enthusiasm, energy, and confidence

  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work hands on, independently, or with a small team providing leadership

  • Pursuing a Masters or a PhD in social science, economics, statistics, or a related field (or related experience)

  • Be E.A.G.E.R — ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable

This role is a part-time position working out of our office in San Francisco, California.
