Overview

Our team of pros needs reinforcements. We are looking for a strong and crafty Lead DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the core systems that power our platform. This is a challenging role which calls for a combination of leadership, operations and application development skills. You will be tasked with leading a team of ops and software engineers to scale our backend throughout the technology stack.

What you will do:

• Provide leadership and be a mentor for the DevOps team

• Participate in architectural decisions across the system

• Be hands-on and develop various components of our service platform (e.g., network servers, queue brokers, storage systems, etc.)

• Continuously fine-tune and automate deployments, monitoring and other routines

• Manage and scale our data storage systems

• Analyze and address performance and stability risks

• Be on top of the latest best practices in the world of Ops and System Design, facilitate a great engineering culture 

We have plenty of beasts in our technology zoo. You will either support or work with these directly:

• Several different languages (from most common to least): Java, Erlang, Lisp, Python (Django), NodeJS, PHP

• AWS

• Nginx and HAProxy, WebSockets

• MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB

• Zabbix, NewRelic, Logstash

• Opscode Chef

• Jenkins

• Git
