Overview
If you’re interested in a role that prepares you to be a founder CEO, keep reading. The Head of Special Projects will support the CEO of a successful startup in driving results across the business and organization. You will represent the CEO, leading special projects with broad functional exposure across finance, strategy, marketing, product, sales and HR. In some cases, you may temporarily manage functions while hiring someone to run the function fulltime. This role is heavily analytical, and also provides a cross cultural experience as a portion of our team is in Kiev, Ukraine. The Head of Special Projects is a two year role, after which you will be well-tooled to transition into a Director-level functional role at Grammarly or another start-up, your own startup, or business school.
Example tasks include the following:

Finance: Use your financial modeling knowledge and excel skills to drive financial planning and analysis. Work with accounting and revenue teams to compile monthly reports and financials.

Strategy: Apply your research and analytical chops to develop and present recommendations on strategic questions. Lead implementation of strategy recommendations, working with teams company-wide.

Marketing: Work with public relations to demonstrate the importance of writing quality, using your statistical knowledge. Drive insights on new and existing customers via surveys and user data analysis.

Product: Help prioritize product initiatives via analysis of core operating metrics.

Business Development: Identify, contact, qualify, court, and close large deals. Help the sales team close deals as required.

HR: Help drive team building, by serving as a recruiting team lead or member and developing innovative programs to generate referrals.
Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience as a consulting or investment banking analyst.

Exceptional academic performance at a top university.

Technical major and prior startup experience preferred.
