We’re building a like-minded team that is passionate about building a beautiful product that will change the way people think about eating. We work closely with one another to creatively solve problems and grow at a rapid, sustainable pace. Most importantly, though, we’re always surrounded by delicious food.

Who You Are:

We’re looking for a sharp, focused, and clever Full-Stack Developer to help shape and build our outstanding platform. You speak many (code) languages, and love learning new ones. You have outstanding attention to detail, love solving complicated problems, crushing bugs, and coming up with new features that make people love using our site. You’ll be so proud of the code you write for Platterz that you’ll make sure Grandma is using it.

Desired Skills to Crush It:

• HTML, CSS (SCSS) and Bootsrap are all second-nature
• Comfortable with at least one of Javascript or Coffeescript
• Ruby and Rails experience is a significant asset
• You’re familiar with Postgres, or another relational database server
• You’ve worked with Angular, and understand it’s mechanics and conventions
• Having worked with Heroku, Redis, Elasticsearch, or Twilio is a plus
• Experience with a third-party payment provider is a plus
• You’ve used Git (or other version control), and wouldn’t start a project without it
• You have a sweet portfolio of projects you’ve worked on or contributed to

As with any new startup, your day will be dynamic and exciting, and you’ll be asked to contribute and provide valuable input as we grow. You should also have a love for good food. If you don’t… no comment.

We’re accessibly located at Yonge and St. Clair, with lots of amazing lunch options. Not that you’ll need to go far for lunch… We are Platterz after all.
