Overview
Full stack at Meetup means engineering everything that’s needed to complete a project, from interaction on the web, to the backend that records it, to the Hadoop job that processes the data recorded. We have a hybrid software stack of Python, Java, Scala, and HTML/Sass/JavaScript, so being a programming polyglot is part of the job.
You’re our ideal team member if you have:
- Extensive experience developing for the web
- Expert knowledge of at least one strongly-typed language – Scala or Java preferred
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS (Sass) and JavaScript (jQuery/Backbone)
- Strong relational DB/SQL skills
- Attention to detail and a feeling of pride and ownership over quality
