Front-End Web Developer

SIMPLENIGHT looks to shake up the travel industry. Our core technology stack uses SCSS, Twitter Bootstrap and AngularJS. We need a strong Front-End Developer with a passion for HTML, CSS and JavaScript to join our growing team.

About SIMPLENIGHT

SIMPLENIGHT provides cloud-based distribution, inventory management, merchandising and technology solutions for the travel industry. We operate a virtual marketplace for experiential products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Code web pages and interfaces for a cutting edge Global Distribution system

  • Collaborate with UX Specialists and Designers

  • Take a designers mockup and convert into Front-End code

  • Incorporate Responsive techniques and think mobile-first

  • Work with Laravel’s Blade templating system

  • Build views that are fully translatable into over 20 different languages

  • Program marketing, administration and white label pages and interfaces

Relevant Skills

  • Expert in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, know it like the back of your hand

  • Strong expert in SCSSdd or LESS and complex layouts using templating engines

  • Experience in building and debugging complex systems in a team environment

  • Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues

  • Demonstration of design and UX sensibilities

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git

  • Bonus credit for working with Laravel

  • Experience working in a travel tech company like Expedia, Hotels.com, Bookings.com, Tripadvisor, AirBNB, Travelocity etc.

COMPENSATION

Full-time salary starting at $70K based on experience and equity compensation plan.
