Overview

What you will be doing:

• Lead the roll-out of front end Javascript frameworks and responsive design approaches
• Implement stunning, usable, scalable, cross-device data visualization solutions
• Create, update and advance the mobile versions of our suite of products (mobile web, apps in the future)
• Orient our front-end engineering patterns around data models, reusable methods, and templating
• Develop advanced techniques to deliver single-page applications for users with SEO enabled solutions for crawlers
• Develop back-end modules and data feeds as necessary to enable strong front-end experiences
• Implement generic CSS to leverage style guides created by our designers and reduce time to market
• Optimize all sites for the fastest and most efficient possible user experience

Skills + Experience

• 4+ years experience building wonderful, interactive web and mobile applications
• Javascript mastery — you see JS as an elegant full-stack programming language.
• Advanced CSS techniques — LESS, SASS, Grunt, etc. (you know CSS like a boss)
• Templating strategies — both from a PHP back-end (Drupal, WordPress, etc.) and a JS front-end (Angular, React, etc.)
• Interest in best practices —  You know who Addy Osmani, Todd Motto and Paul Irish are, etc.
• Delivery optimization — you know when and how to aggregate CSS/JS, ship it to the CDN, and bust the cache
• Analytics — you live and breathe Google Analytics

Bonus Experience

• Full-stack programming:  PHP, Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB, Unix-based systems
• CMS experience
• Drupal theming a plus
• API integrations — familiarity with social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), operational systems (Salesforce, etc.) and data systems
