WORDPRESS WEBSITE DEVELOPER

We are currently seeking a full-time WordPress Developer with professional experience to add to our team. The right candidate must be comfortable with both responsive design and development, and have experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery, PHP, and JavaScript, with a focus on WordPress development. This includes customizing themes, templates and plugins.

Ideally we’d like to fill this position in-house position at our Naperville office. However, we’re open to Chicagoland area freelance developers applying too.

Job Responsibilities

Work with design team on various web development projects, while utilizing best development practices
Translate PSDs into responsive WordPress sites, functional in all standard browsers and screen resolutions

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of web development experience building websites in WordPress
• Experience developing responsive site designs
• Strong understanding and experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery, PHP, JavaScript
• Familiarity with various WordPress plugins, themes and advanced architectures
• Strong ability in debugging scripts and cross browser issues
• Full understanding of Hosting, FTP, and ability to work with support to trouble shoot server issues
• General understanding of standard SEO technique and Web Development
• Strong communication skills and extreme attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and keep up in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to make strategic recommendations in the development process and anticipate challenges before the occur
• Strong portfolio with examples of development work
• BA or BS Degree; however, strong candidates with significant work experience but no formal education will also be considered.

Position Details

• Compensation will be dependent upon experience.

• Work Hours are M-F; 9:00am-5:00pm
