Senior PHP Developer – DealTap Inc

We are looking to add a strong PHP Developer to our team. The perfect candidate is a strong communicator, is open to learning new technologies, prides themselves on a job well done and wants to make a difference by building a great product. The role will offer the ability to build software from scratch as well as enhance the existing application.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for fixing bugs, building features and architecting new software. This role will require strong problem solving skills and the ability to develop applications using cutting edge technologies. 

Qualifications:

• • At least 7 years of experience actively coding in PHP 5 (preferably 5.3+)
• • Minimum 2 years managing and leading a technical team
• • Passionate about agile methodology 
• • Strong experience working with Back End Frameworks (Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.)
• • Strong experience with MVC frameworks and ORMs (Doctrine in particular)
• • Basic HTML5/CSS3 skills 
• • Advanced JS skills, mostly with jQuery
• • Experience working on large server side web projects 
• • Experience with the GIT version control system
• • Experience integrating with 3rd party API’s
• • Experience with AWS webservices (EC2, RDS, S3, AMI)
• • Experience with designing and building APIs 
• • Unit testing and documentation
• • Proficient with Linux command line
• • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• • Take ownership of tasks from start to completion
• • Can work with code from other developers in a team environment
