Option Position: Sales Engineer

We are looking for a talented and motivated Solutions Consultant to join our team in Massachusetts. Our Solutions Consultants play the key role in our sales efforts by leading the technical track of the sales process and working directly with sales executives, account managers and customers on understanding customer problems and providing the best solutions Comindware can offer to them. They are the trusted advisors to both business and IT within our customer organizations, helping understand the problem in all its aspects and provide a comprehensive solution, which provides both quick win and long term value to our customers. This role requires excellent communications, analysis, design and presentation skills, with a solid grasp on both business operations and software systems.


The responsibility for this important position is to support pre-sales and post-sales activities including:


  • Assisting in all phases of the sales process from initial lead contact to closing
  • Working with multiple Sales and Account Executives to qualify prospects
  • Identify and analyze customer problems and requirements
  • Work with technical sales support team to provide the best solution to customers
  • Lead building and presenting demos to prospective customers and partners
  • Developing and delivering high quality solutions, product and architecture presentations
  • Assisting Bid Responses as requested in preparing responses to RFPs and RFIs
  • Ownership and leadership for customer guided trials, PoC (Proofs of Concept), workshops and initial implementations
  • Working closely with product management and executive team providing feedback from the market and customers
  • Participation in thought leadership and marketing events, and help with marketing and customer education content
  • Travel globally as needed


 Desired Skills and Experience


  • BS or MS Degree in Software Engineering or similar technical degree
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent English (additional languages is a plus)
  • Experience in working both remotely and directly with customers
  • Experience/demonstrated ability in understanding complex business and technical problems and delivering complex technical and sales presentationsdemonstrations to medium and large audiences
  • Basic understanding of typical companies business operations and systems
  • Understanding of sales process in large scale organizations (Business case, RFI, RFP, Demonstration, PoC) is a plus
  • Understanding of Business Process Management, Workflow Management and Project Management concepts, disciplines and related systems is a plus
  • Team player, with proven ability to work well with peers in marketing, sales, and engineering
