CogniTea is a new healthy food startup that is driven to reinvent tea and power people towards their goals.

Our all-natural tea promotes mental clarity and sustained energy, offering a healthy, smart replacement for coffee — all without the typical crash, jitters, or headache.

We started the company to make a tea that is functional, something that people use when they want “productive energy” when at work to concentrate, while working out to get in the zone, or wherever they need more energy and focus.

Role Description

If you want to get in on the ground floor of a startup, it doesn’t get much better than helping a company get their first sales, and we’re looking for hard working, outgoing, adventurous people to help spread the word of CogniTea in retail stores.

Responsibilities Include:

– Represent brand at health food store tastings/demos and events in Connecticut 
– Understand the company, product, and mission like the back of your hand. Education about the product is very important!
– Prepare and hand out samples to customers
– Comfortable asking consumers if they would like to purchase CogniTea after educating them about the product
– Develop and maintain relationships with store buyers and personnel 
– Table set up and clean up
– Provide reports and invoices for each event

Requirements:
– Previous brand representation experience preferred, particularly with food products
– Passionate about health and possess a go-getter mindset
– Confident, friendly and enthusiastic. Very comfortable talking to people
– Must be able to work Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays with some weekday availability as well
– Able to stand for 3-5 hours at a time while conducting demos
– Must have car and be able to get to and from retail locations
– Must be able to lift up to 20 or 25 lbs, including a fold-up demo table, etc.

Dates: As soon as possible, through timeframe TBD
Hours: Variable, most events last 3-5 hours

Compensation:
– $15/hr. Commensurate with experience
