Overview
Lighthouse Labs has expanded to Toronto to become the first Canada-wide development boot camp and we’re looking to add a Career Services Coordinator to our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Career Services, this person will be responsible for engaging with potential employers as well as working directly with our students to prepare them for their new careers and helping ensure their individual career goals are met. We currently have a 100% placement rate for students who participate in our Accelerated Placement Program and are committed to maintaining this rate as we expand.
You are a hustler by nature and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You have experience not just being a “coordinator” but actually working to engage new employers. You want to apply your background/education or natural skill set in community engagement, interviewing and recruitment in Career Services, we want to hear from you!
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities
Employer Engagement

Source and engage with potential employers to promote Lighthouse Labs Career Services (attending community events, following up on inbound leads, and other hustle)

Ensure employer information is entered into CRM system

Take lead on organizing and promoting TO employer hiring events (2 per cohort)

Organizing, tracking and following up on interviews
-
Work with Director of Career Services on additional employer engagement initiatives (Career Speaker Series, Employer Info Sessions, etc.)
Student Engagement
-
Coordinate and/or deliver key Career Services messaging to students
-
Overview of Career Services Session
-
Delivery and follow up of Career Survey
-
Resume workshop, review and feedback
-
Interview prep workshop
-
Employer event prep
-
Alumni follow up messaging
-
-
Track placements and statistics for students initial and followup placements
-
Working with Director of Career Services to ensure additional support for students as needed
Other Tasks
We are a growing company team but we keep it lean and mean. It’s all hands on deck and no job is too big or too small.

Assist with other Toronto events (DemoDay, Speakers etc.)

Support the overall operations of the Toronto office including:

Skills & Experience
-
1-2 years experience in Career Services, HR, Recruitment or related role

Experience in the tech community a major asset

Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
