Overview
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan and execute in-person events that introduce GA to a new audience
- Find and engage local experts in tech, design, and business to speak at our events
- Collaborate with your fellow Campus Ambassadors to promote and set up GA’s speaker series on your campus
- Drive people to these events by engaging in tactics such as:
- Create social media memes, Put up flyers
- Put invitations in instructors’ mailboxes, Post to list-servs
- Table in highly trafficked areas on campus, Create a viral video
- Point of contact for Audience dev team in a GA market
- Cultivate new partnerships with clubs on campus
- Be the face of the General Assembly brand on your campus and in your region
- Identify relevant new audiences and how to tell them about GA
- Coming up with new creative marketing ideas to share with the global campus ambassador team
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing a budget and can commit 10-15 hours a week
- Has leadership experience in several clubs on campus and is metrics/detail oriented
- Is passionate about the tech and startup community
- Has strong marketing and business development chops. You’re a master networker at heart
- Is a highly entrepreneurial self-starter (you choose how much you want to work)
- Maintains a positive and solutions-focused attitude at all times
- Is a highly entrepreneurial self-starter and remains calm and friendly under pressure
- Has excellent project management and time management skills
- Believes in always iterating and getting better based on feedback and learnings
- Is passionate about exposing fellow students to alternative & high-paying career paths
