As Lead Designer, you will be responsible for the overall direction of the creative team and products, both print and digital. You will be required to interact with all aspects of the business, which includes our media analytics, sales, product, engineering, and marketing teams, as well as outside clients to ensure that performance goals are met. The position requires the proven ability to develop digital ad concepts, UI/UX, and marketing pieces, while inspiring members of our creative department to do the same.

Responsibilities:
-
Oversee all creative department employees, and the entire creative process, to ensure clients consistently receive creative of highest quality in the native advertising space.

Meet regularly with key clients to build relationships, and review how our creative philosophy can add value to their efforts.

Directs the art and copy strategy and execution of a wide range of materials.
-
Supervises, reviews, mentors, and critiques creative work and execution.
-
Leads creative meetings and provides guidance and direction on idea generation and direction within the creative department as well as outside departments.

Give regular progress reports on how the department is achieving its creative goals to the CMO and CEO.

Collaborates with internal marketing team to develop marketing materials, including infographics, case studies, ebooks, white papers, and website assets.

Develop, implement and monitor the annual creative department plan to support the company’s annual business plan and vision.

Act as UI/UX director on all product initiatives, providing guidance for our AMP marketing software platform.

Clearly articulate to the company the creative philosophy and how it applies to our culture.

Oversee the creative department’s development of creative campaigns for new business as well as creative presentations, and present our creative strategy.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher from reputable college or university
-
7+ years experience in graphic design, both print, digital, and interactive
-
Experience developing people and managing a team, in addition to creative initiatives
-
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs, Balsamiq, with knowledge of HTML and CSS
-
Problem solver with strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
-
Ability to work in a high velocity startup environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
-
Thorough understanding of the design process, project management, agile development, and client relationship management.

Prior startup experience or exposure to social and/or B2B marketing
