Senior Drupal Technical Training Specialist

 

Acquia and the Learning Services team are looking for an experienced Open Source, Drupal, and Web Development Senior Training Specialist to join our team. As the leader in the largest open source community in the world, Acquia is accelerating the adoption of Drupal in organizations of all types and sizes, from Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Our learning programs span traditional instructor-led courses to innovative, accessible, online learning models for our external and internal learning audiences.

 

As a member of our Learning Services team, the Senior Technical Training Specialist will focus on building and delivering engaging learning experiences as a means of educating Acquia’s Clients, Partners, Employees, and Community in how best to leverage Drupal within Acquia Products and Services. You will also be the primary instructor for our Drupal Talent Development Program AcquiaU. This person is expected to build and refine educationally sound and scalable curriculum/content, and develop learning materials, documentation, facilitator and participant materials, hands-on activities/labs, and reference materials.  From a delivery perspective, s/he will host webinars with customers and curious developers, travel to customer sites for full-day workshops, record asynchronous training sessions, and deliver learning sessions to our Acquia employees.  

 

Minimum Requirements

• Min. 5 years of experience with Drupal and complex PHP projects

• Experience in an Agile environment as team member and Scrum Master

• Min. 3 years of demonstrated experience designing and delivering technical training for instructor and web-based learning, preference on Drupal content (content samples will be requested)

• Hands-on experience with related web technologies like Javascript, CSS, HTML, PHP, and Git)

• Working knowledge of LAMP server configuration, Open Source, Drupal Supporting Technologies (Varnish, Git, Continuous Development, Application Development Lifecycles)

• Ability to participate in/lead in a number of projects such as curriculum design, content development, and program management

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
