Overview

As a Business Development Associate you will be responsible for producing qualified prospects through a variety of sources including current Access customers, prospective customers, leads from our CRM system and our on-going marketing campaigns. The role is a vital one as you will be a major contributor for the organizations sales pipeline, converting leads into warm opportunities for our sales organization. While the role reports into the Marketing organization, it is considered to be an extension of our field sales team.

 

Responsibilities

Compile call lists from current customers, prospective customers from business directories, marketing campaigns and leads from our CRM database, as well as other sources for use in prospecting.

Analyze customer needs in terms of current business obstacles, identifying projects and scoping potential Access solutions.

Manage customer calls and web presentations

Present and articulate product features, benefits, future product direction and overall solutions

Responsible for building sales pipeline, including net new business

Coordinate sales efforts with Field sales reps

Work closely with marketing team to run campaigns and drive attendance to key events

Provide feedback (prospect needs, industry trends, market perceptions, competitive intelligence, etc.) to both management and the company’s marketing team.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Follow-up and maintain contact with prospects that don’t have an immediate need, but may become qualified opportunities in the future.

Cold calling to uncover qualified sales opportunities

Ability to work across time zones across the world

 

Skills and Qualifications

BS or BA degree (Technical background a plus)

1-2 years of Professional work experience

Ability to learn and understand product solutions and features

Ability to understand customer’s industry and core business processes

Effective sales, marketing, time and project management skills

Experience in prospecting and qualifying leads

Knowledge of LinkedIn as a sales and marketing tool is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience prospecting to C-level or technical audiences

Needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills
